Arlington Sunrise Rotary Club

Our club was chartered in March 1987 as the first (and still only) breakfast Rotary Club in Arlington. Over the past 20 years our club has been very active helping and serving the community. In 1986 our club built the Sunrise Creative Playground in Dunlop Park in North Arlington which is located at the corner of Fielder Road and Green Oaks Boulevard. We raised over $100,000 and were assisted by over 2500 volunteers. After years of enjoyment, the playground needed to be rebuilt. This time we raised over $200,000. In the fall of 2005, with hundreds of volunteers, the playground was completed. In addition to our flag program and the projects it supports, our club has donated clothing and backpacks to Safe Haven, food to the Arlington Night Shelter, tutored children, and assisted the Salvation Army in their Angel Tree and Red Kettle programs. As long as there are people and programs in need, the Arlington Sunrise Rotary Club will be there to help.

The four way test of rotary

Of the things we Think, Say or Do:

  1. Is it the truth?
  2. Is it fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
  4. Will ti be beneficial to all concerned?
